Overview
Do you need a place to practice for an upcoming audition, recital, or group performance? Our practice rooms can easily accommodate your practice needs for guitar, voice, piano, strings, or wind instruments. These practice rooms are available at an hourly rate for one hour, several hours, or a block of time over a few days if needed. Practice rooms have Wi-Fi access so you can work with your laptop on composition as well. Because of our central location in the Salt Lake area, we are a perfect choice for meeting your musical friends from all areas of the Salt Lake Valley.
Practice rooms must be scheduled and reserved during store hours. Most are available as a “walk-in” before 2:00 p.m. All practice room rentals are paid in advance. Our practice rooms are available in three sizes to accommodate individuals as well as group rehearsals. The upstairs rooms are filled with natural light and the three practice rooms located on the main level have no stairs to navigate to access the studio rooms. All practice rooms are close to a restroom as well. If you are looking for a long-term practice room rental arrangement, please contact the studio manager directly by texting 385-743-9809.
If you are looking for a larger space for a group practice, the recital hall is available for a practice room as well. Are you a local choir director who would like to be able to preview choral music with your accompanist? Our Recital Hall is adjacent to the sales floor and is available for preview sessions. The rate for “Choral Preview” session rental is $25 for the first 2 hours and $10/hour for each additional hour. Please schedule this with the store.
If you want to be using the studio rooms frequently, consider purchasing a pre-paid studio rental card. This card will allow you to pay for 10 hours of practice time at once. When you want to use a room, simply walk in or phone ahead, request a reservation, and your room will be scheduled for you. When you arrive at the store, simply show your card, and one of our friendly employees will mark off your time and show you to your reserved practice room.

Medium Practice Rooms
The medium practice rooms are ideal for small ensemble rehearsals. These rooms have an average area of 150 square feet. Both of our medium practice rooms have acoustic pianos. Medium practice rooms are available for $5.50 per hour before 2:00 p.m. on weekdays and $6.50 per hour after 2:00 p.m. and on weekends.
Small Practice Rooms
Small practice rooms are great for solo rehearsal. These rooms have an average area of 72-square feet. Of our ten small rooms, four have acoustic pianos and six have digital pianos. Small practice rooms are available for $4.50 per hour before 2:00 p.m. on weekdays and $5.50 per hour after 2:00 p.m. and on weekends.
Recital Hall (as a practice room)
The recital hall is frequently available when our regular practice rooms may not be. Because of its size, it is also more conducive to ensemble groups. We are currently taking reservations for recording, practicing, or auditions for $20.00 per hour when the recital hall is booked as a rehearsal space.
Are you getting ready to enter a piano competition? We have two beautiful grand pianos–a Yamaha Grand and a Steinway Grand–available for practice. If you need to record your audition, the room acoustically lends itself well to recording.
We also have an organ that is available for practice. Additionally, if you need space to audition small vocal or instrumental ensembles (strings, winds, brass, or acoustic guitar) this room is perfect.
If you need a large practice room without a piano, our John Day Room is also available at the “Large Practice Room” rate of $10.00/hour. It is on the main floor.
Because we follow CDC guidelines, all who use our facilities are expected to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and sanitize any equipment when they’re finished using the space.
