Suzannah Rose has studied the piano for 14 years, and currently studies with Dr. Vedrana Subotic at the University of Utah pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a Pedagogy emphasis.

She has won 1st prize in various competitions, including the 2018 UMTA Piano Concerto Competition senior division, and the 2019 Summer Arts Piano Competition solo undergraduate division. In January 2020, Suzannah soloed with the Utah Philharmonia as 1st place winner of the UofU School of Music Concerto Competition.

Suzannah performed with the Pentasuite Quintet in the quarter-finals of the National Fischoff Chamber Music Competition (2018), with Rose and Liu Piano Duo in the semi-finals of the New England International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition (2020), and with the Pentasuite Quintet at Carnegie Hall as 1st Place and Judges Distinction Award winners of the International American Protégé Competition.

Suzannah was selected as a Gina Bachauer Masterclass participant in 2015, was a Utah Symphony Salute to Youth finalist in 2015, 2016, and 2018, and placed 1st in the 2015 Salt Lake Piano Competition Concerto event.

Suzannah has also performed in various masterclasses, including masterclasses with Dr. Paula Da Matta, Dr. Angela Cheng, and Frank Weinstock. She regularly performed in Encore Piano Organization honor recitals, and received scholarship prizes each year she participated (2012-2016). In June 2014, at the age of 13, Suzannah performed in Tokyo, Japan, at the Toho School of Music as a member of Young Pianists International. She performed a solo piano recital at the St. George Tabernacle in 2016 and has performed twice at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. Over the last several years Suzannah has also had experience as a wedding pianist, providing elegant background music for weddings from St. George to Mill Creek Canyon.

Suzannah has taught piano lessons since she was 14 years old, and loves introducing the next generation of young pianists to the joys of music-making. She currently holds the position of Vice President of the University of Utah MTNA Collegiate Student Chapter, an organization that helps to improve and promote high quality teaching, research, and scholarship in music.
