Natalia has been playing cello as soon as her elementary school would let her in fifth grade. She is a graduate of Murray High school where she was the President of the Orchestra Student Council and worked hard to support her class both in and out of Orchestra. She has performed in pit orchestras for Sound of Music and Mary Poppins and accompanied choirs for holiday concerts and the Oratorio Considering Mathew Shepard. Natalia has volunteered to play with a quartet for holiday performances, as well as for a senior home, and a Rotary club. For big ensembles she has played in the Taylorsville Symphony Orchestra and, is the section leader in the Salt Lake Community College Chamber Orchestra.
Currently seeking a music degree at SLCC, Natalia loves tutoring music theory to her classmates so much that she wants to start teaching cello! She works best with kids and teens (ages 6-18), seeing as she is just as silly as them. With Natalia you will be getting a fun, interactive, persevering attitude, and learn more about music theory as well! In regard to methods taught (like Suzuki) she believes it depends on the students since not all learn the same way and, she will work with each individual to make sure that they find a style that fits them.
